Purification at Sebatu Holy Water is part of a spiritual cleansing ritual in Balinese Hinduism called Melukat. People come from all over the world to experience Melukat at Sebatu Holy Spring, located in the Tegalalang area of Gianyar Regency, Bali. Make an offering

Offerings, called canang, are made from woven palm leaves and filled with flowers, incense, and other offerings. You can purchase a canang from the vendors near the entrance to the springs.

A priest will chant prayers and bless you before you begin the Melukat ritual.

There are ten springs at Sebatu Holy Spring. It is customary to visit each spring and dunk your head under the water three times. You can also pour water over yourself from a coconut shell.

After you have visited all ten springs, the priest will say a closing prayer.
